# Inspect TxPool Fees

> Summarize fee fields exposed by transactions in the current txpool snapshot.

Use `txpool fees` to summarize the fee fields exposed by transactions currently in the pool.

## Command

## Field Notes

* `effective fee bid` is `maxFeePerGas` for EIP-1559/blob transactions, or `gasPrice` for legacy transactions.
* `max priority fee per gas` is only present when the node exposes that field for the transaction type.
* `max fee per blob gas` is only present for blob transactions.

This command is useful before [Replacement](/docs/txpool/replacement) experiments because it shows the fee range already present in the pool.
